High Functioning SZ

moonagestardustI have High Functioning Schizophrenia. I found an article on this topic, at PsychCentral, but I differ, in some ways from the people described. I do not believe that my ability to empathize with others is impaired, although it is claimed that many SZs in the same category have this issue. I can reflect on the feelings of others, still, and have never lost this ability; it is not clear if I am better at this than other people are, however.
Why I have not, generally, lacked insight, while many other SZs remain unaware of their condition for years, is not clear.
Is this a matter of me having more formidable inner resources, or does it have something to do with the occultists - their strength and malice? Both? What determines whether a SZ has insight or lacks it?
